Finally finished this thing from June of last year (I am slow as hell).
In order of Red around to Pink:
Armstrong w/primal form
Zero_One w/primal form
Geist
Rust
Doc
Doc's primal form
Tesla w/primal form
Prometheus w/Zelimir (future host)
Think this turned out decent; Zelimir looks a bit odd but I can't keep fidgeting with him-otherwise this would never get posted lmao. Rust was re-drawn THREE times--fully rendered and finished--so that could be why this took so long.
Also, I must confess, Tesla's is ripped straight from a photo that someone posted on Tumblr--I think? I can't find the original post to save my life. It is of Tesla at the first concert TLT did with the Tombsona gear. Reason for my little cheat is that I was like over half way done with my original Tesla drawing (which was already a re-sketch from my first WIP) and I found out that I hated it. It made Tesla look too insane--it was a pose of him holding human hearts because he's a mad scientist type character (plus it would've been too gorey to fit everything else).
So I cheated- A little bit. Sorry lmao
Okay- Okay sorry I'll stop rambling. Hope y'all enjoy and have a great day/night! Hope to post more TLT and Tombsona content soon!

Gonna file these under "Things I would definitely make into a full comic if I had that kind of time and motivation."
(If anyone is wondering where Armstrong is they are watching Rust with concern, just off-screen.)
Image ID under cut:
[Image ID 1: A drawing of zero_one the tombsona from The Living Tombstone. They are sitting hunched over in a metal chair with wires connecting into them. Some of the wires are glowing orange. zero_one's own circuits and hair is dark. Behind them, electronics are glowing in the walls.]
[Image ID 2: Rust, a tombsona from The Living Tombstone, is standing unsteadily behind a pile of burning wreckage. One arm hangs limp with a wound in the shoulder, the other arm is raised with the middle finger sticking up. In the background is a grey building on one side, and a forest in the other. The sky is clear, aside from smoke from the fire. Rust's motorcycle can be seen fallen over among the wreckage. Green bloody footprints are seen coming from Rust, indicating it had walked out of the wreckage. Rust is yelling at someone off screen. Dialogue bubble 1: The fuck are you looking at?? The FUCK are you LOOKING AT?! Dialogue bubble 2: You think I'm done?? Come at me, bastards! Right here right fucking now let's go!!]
[Image ID 3: There is a darkened room with large computer electronics on either side. A doorway is in the back. Doc is standing to the right, hands raised in a casual manner. Tesla is behind and to the left, crouching by one of the machines, one hand pressed to the machines. Pink lightning is coming from its hand, which is spreading across the machines. Doc is speaking. Dialogue 1: Now, you all strike me as reasonable people...]

don’t think about a tristamp vashwood reincarnation au where vash can’t remember his last lives, only but getting flashes of deja vu and pangs of emotions he can’t understand
don’t think about a baby vash, waking up one night on the ship, screaming and crying hysterically, so unconsolable that even when nai fetches rem for help, she is helpless, only able to hold her son as he wails into chest, one tiny hand gripping the back of her shirt, nai’s pant leg balled up in the other
don’t think about rem asking vash what’s wrong when he finally stops crying, and all he can get out is a ragged, “I have to save him,” before a fresh round of tears well up, and he’s back to sobbing, now with renewed mumbling of, “I can’t save him, I have to, I have to,” with his mother and brother resigning themselves to a night of no sleep, never knowing who he was talking about
don’t think about vash and nai finding tesla, and vash already begging nai not to hate the humans, he can’t do it again, not again, please not this life, let them be happy in this life, let him be happy in this life, Vash can’t lose him again, but he knows his brother won’t listen, he never does, and Vash knows he’s lost the strange man from his dreams again
don’t think about vash and nai in that escape pod, nai reaching his hand out to rem, to his mother, please come with us, but vash already knows she won’t, she’s never done it before, she has to stay to save the man with the smokes, but this time he’s able to choke out a goodbye before the pod closes again
don’t think about vash, dreaming, over the years, of old memories with the black haired man with a face of shadow, carrying a tombstone of metal wrapped in cloth and leather, unknowing of who he is, but understanding that he has to find him, to save him, and slowly, slowly, falling in love with his only other constant over the course of 150 years
now
don’t think about wolfwood, knowing two things for certain throughout his life, one being that he would be the sacrificial lamb to save his family, two being that he loved the strange blond man in his memories, with his silly red coat and yellow sunglasses
don’t think about wolfwood, once forced into the eye of michael and trained ruthlessly, desperately clinging to whatever shreds of sanity he has left, only able to power through because he needs to save his family, he needs to save Livio, he needs to save the love of his life, and wolfwood grows up a little more hopeful
don’t think about wolfwood, brought before knives, face impassive, but mind racing, because this is definitely not his needle noggin, as he taken to calling him over the years, but his new boss looks astoundingly like him, and when he learns of his newest job, nico’s heart nearly rips itself from his chest
don’t think about vash and wolfwood, searching for each other through the desert, vash for a century and a half, wolfwood for a fraction of that, but still knowing they’ll be together soon
don’t think about soon being vash asleep in the back of a car, wolfwood half-dead trudging through the desert
don’t think about vash waking up when meryl hits someone with the trailer, looking out the window, and seeing that cross that haunts his dreams
don’t think about vash leaping from the car before meryl can even process what she did, sprinting towards the man in the sand like a man possessed
don’t think about vash gently cradling the head of the love of his life, unminding of roberto and meryl’s questioning looks
don’t think about vash softly brushing the man’s hair from his face, hand trailing his face
don’t think about vash pressing his forehead against wolfwood’s
don’t think about vash making a promise the others can’t hear
don’t think about wolfwood half-aware of being held
don’t think about wolfwood seeing nothing but red and yellow
don’t think about wolfwood relaxing for the first time in two decades
don’t think about vash promising wolfwood his love
don’t think about wolfwood swearing vash his life
don’t think about them

Tombsona : Lifeform Codex
Multiverse [[fandom]]: The Living Tombstone
Prime [[Canon]] Examples: zero_one, Rust, Armstrong, Tesla, Doc, Geist
Outer dimensional entities transcend time and space and attach themselves to host lifeforms by fate. They are considered rare in and of themselves to every given universe they had first manifested and can span past multiple universes with varying methods of bonding to a host. Some actively profile their hosts while others happen to bond with their hosts in the right set of circumstances. A constant general profile they all share is a skull mask on their faces.
The body of the hosts are infused with mysterious substance called soulite that have a wide range of colors and tones. Some even have been said to master void and infinity but only within certain contexts.
They are not conventionally ‘alive’ and it’s still unclear their actual origins save for legends mentioning a ‘Progenitor’. This has become a double-edged sword because of those who seek their power and/or see tombsonas as an existential threat. Some have gone so far as to create synthetic ones such as Geist in the prime universe. It's unclear if they can find a host or if their existence is finite, at least the hostless ones.
- Full disclosure, there are indeed exceptions to whats layed out in this lifeform codex and it’s also more Fanon/headcanon and is subject to change once more canon information is to come out via TLT’s lore channel (or maybe even here) by Sam Haft himself.

Categories
- Anchored ■
Are anchored to object(s) for unclear reasons. They don't get much in the way of profiling their future host prior to being found.
- Elemental ●
Ones with an elemental affinity to them such as fire, ice, lightning, etc. Their emotional state effects the stability of their elements.
- Ethereal ▲
Those who are more supernaturally inclined. Most in this category tend to be more in the know about their hosts beforehand.
- Polymorphic ●
This type changes the very phycology of their host upon the bonding process being complete.
- Singularity ♦
Tombsonas are usually stronger than regular ones and only a handful of them are in a given universe. They are said to even be considered mere legends even amongst themselves.
Synthetic ▲
Man-made tombsonas usually have a set-in-stone objective programmed into them. Most don’t need a host while a sparse few do depending on their universe’s knowledge on tombsonas in general.
